What it is

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) supports the skin barrier and modulates sebum production. It is one of the most well tolerated actives in skincare.

Benefits

Reduces redness, mildly improves hyperpigmentation, and supports the lipid barrier. Pairs well with retinoids to mitigate irritation.

When to take it

Can be used morning or night, and layers well under sunscreen and moisturizer. It pairs comfortably with most other actives, making it easy to add to an existing routine.

Side effects

Generally very well tolerated. Concentrations above ~10% can cause flushing in sensitive skin.
