The short version: InsideTheFormula has no accounts, no logins, and no newsletter. It doesn't ask you for personal information, doesn't set advertising cookies, and doesn't sell data. The only personal data involved is the standard request information every website's host records, plus whatever you choose to put in an email to us.
What information is collected
This site has no user accounts, sign-up forms, or newsletter, so it doesn't ask for your name, email, or payment details. The only personal data processed during a normal visit is the request information our hosting provider logs automatically — your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and timestamps. That information is used to operate the site, keep it secure, and understand aggregate traffic; it is not used to build a profile of you. If you email us, we receive whatever you write and your email address, used only to respond.
Cookies and tracking
InsideTheFormula does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it doesn't embed third-party ad or social-media trackers. Filter, sort, and comparison choices are stored entirely in the page URL — not in cookies — which is why a filtered view is just a link you can share. If a strictly necessary cookie is ever needed for the site to function, it will be limited to that purpose.
Analytics
Any analytics used on this site are limited to privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement — for example, cookieless page-view counts and performance metrics. This kind of measurement reports totals and trends; it does not set advertising cookies, build an advertising profile, or identify you personally. Search engines such as Google also report aggregate data about how this site appears in search results, which is search-side information and does not track you as you browse the site.
Affiliate links and outbound traffic
Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links, which means a purchase may earn this site a commission at no extra cost to you. When you follow one, you leave InsideTheFormula and arrive on a third party's website — that company collects and processes your data under its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies, none of which are controlled by this site. Service providers
Running the site involves a small number of infrastructure providers that process data on its behalf: a hosting and content- delivery provider that serves the pages and keeps the request logs described above, and a managed database provider that stores the site's content (ingredient, product, and article data — not personal data about visitors). These providers act as processors for the limited purpose of operating the site.
Your choices and contact
